There are no enemies to your growth in grace or to your righteous service that weren’t included in your Savior’s victory over sin and death. God looked at many people of the past and identified them as “mighty men of valor” (Joshua 1:14; 6:2; 8:3; 10:7). The Lord is with you and you are mighty because you are one with the Mightiest, so claim victory (Revelation 15:1-4)!
Whenever your enemies are closing in on you, look out and claim victory in Christ. Whenever your heart and flesh fail you, look up and claim victory in Christ. Be sure you claim your share in the triumph that Jesus won, for He won it not for Himself but for all mankind (1 Corinthians 15:57; 1 John 5:4). Count Christ’s victory as yours and gather the spoils of the war — godly living and the peace that surpasses all understanding.
