About the
LOOP 287 CHURCH OF CHRIST
Loop 287 Church of Christ takes the Great Commission seriously: “Go into all the world and make disciples of every nation, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.” We believe that this is achieved not through social programs, political activist groups, or welfare organizations, but through preaching God’s Word. We are on a mission to reach the world, beginning right here in Lufkin, Texas.
OUR WORSHIP
You may notice that our worship services look a little bit different than everyone else’s.
Instead of having a band or a choir, all of our members sing (visitors are never pressured to do so). We take communion every Sunday, we pray together, and listen to a Bible-based sermon from our local minister.
Our worship is communal and pure. It comes from our heart straight to God’s ears.
OUR WORK
Every member at Loop 287 church of Christ is called to practice benevolence and servanthood on their own (James 1:27).
Our members are some of the most charitable people in Lufkin…though they’ll most likely never talk about it (Matthew 6:1-4).
We believe that a church should be simple, and not get distracted by a bunch of different pursuits. This leaves the church to do what it was designed to do: spread the Gospel.

Our classes cover every type of Bible topic under the sun. From Bible characters like David and Goliath to the Apostle Paul, your children will learn the stories — and the meanings — of Scripture
We also have adult Bible classes! Our qualified teachers rotate subjects every quarter, ensuring you have a steady diet of Scripture that will leave you nourished and headed in the right direction.
