Did You Think to Pray?

Christians need to pray — regularly and fervently (1 Thessalonians 5:17; James 5:16). We not only want you to pray, but we also want to suggest some items to pray for, items that you may not have thought of lately:

  1. Pray that you might prepare your heart to know God’s Word, to do it, and then to teach others (Ezra 7:10).
  2. Pray that God will prune you so that you might bring forth more fruit to His glory (John 15:2).
  3. Pray that doors of opportunity might be opened to you and to the church to speak God’s Word (Colossians 4:2).
  4. Pray that everything in your life will be done as it agrees with God’s will, not your will (Matthew 26:39).

When you pray for these, don’t let them be idle words; let them be your heart’s desire spoken to God. You’ll find it easier to make them part of your prayers if you give your heart completely to the Lord and trust Him.
