God Is Real

Atheists say there is no God. Agnostics question whether or not there is an Almighty. The truth is, God is real. Evidence for His existence is abundant.

The fact that there is a universe demands the existence of God. The Hebrew writer said, “For every house is built by someone, but He who built all things is God” (Heb. 3:4). This is the truth. No sane person would look at a house and say its materials came from nothing and evolved into a dwelling for man. Rather, it is acknowledged that those materials were put together by some intelligent being, man. The universe was built by THE Intelligent Being, God (Gen. 1:1).

Jesus Christ is further evidence of God’s existence. He claimed to be Deity and the Jews sought to stone Him for it (John 5:17-18; cp. 8:58-59). His claims were not hollow, but hallow. He backed them up with signs, miracles, and wonders (Acts 2:22). The final sign was the resurrection-declaring Him to be the Son of God, having God’s nature of divinity (Rom. 1:4). Since Jesus proved His claim to be Deity, God is real.

The reality of God forces man to a subordinate position; he is answerable to his Creator (cp. Ecc. 12:13-14). The Bible says, “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad” (2 Cor. 5:10). God will judge us through Jesus Christ according to the gospel (Acts 17:30-31; Jn. 5:22-23; 12:48). Therefore, it is important for all men to submit to the law of Christ (cp. 1 Cor. 9:21; Gal. 6:2).

Denying God is real will not erase the reality of judgment — it will only guarantee the outcome (Rev. 21:8).
