How We Learn

I thought it would be interesting at the end of this week’s bulletin to consider how we learn. Take a look at the following list of percentages defining our learning process:

  • 10% of what we read.
  • 20% of what we hear.
  • 30% of what we see.
  • 50% of what we both see and hear.
  • 70% of what is discussed with others.
  • 80% of what we experience personally.
  • 95% of what we teach someone else.

Notice that two out of the three of the highest percentages involve what we either discuss with or teach someone else. If we can overcome our hinderances, we will learn more and convert people to Jesus Christ.
