Love Lifted Me

In my teens I was sinking deep in sin, entangling in sin with darkness in my soul. I was far from the peaceful shore of the refuge I could have in Christ. I was stained within blind conformity to my worldly peers. I was involved with the wrong friends who were also “futile” in their thinking and life-direction (Ephesians 4:17-19, 22). We were without God and any real hope (Ephesians 2:12).

But one day I had enough! The love of Jesus lifted me from the waters of spiritual death, and brought me to safe ground.

Love lifted me from despair and aimless, hopeless living. When nothing else could help, love lifted me. There have been many low moments in my life, but His unfailing love has always lifted me out of the angry waves! I hope you too have found this to be true for you! Is that the song you sing today?

Christ can change men and women from a wicked life to a righteous life; from an immoral to a godly life; and, from a life of ruin to a life of righteousness.
