Sin Will Condemn

All men fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). We sin by commission and omission (Galatians 5:19-21; James 4:17). Some sins are committed when overtaken in a fault (Galatians 6:1). Others are done in outright rebellion to God (1 Thessalonians 5:14). “Little” sins (i.e., envy, hatred, gossip) are overlooked by some, while “big” sins (i.e., homosexuality, adultery, murder) are loudly condemned. However, when it comes do to it, sin is sin (James 2:10). Even sins of omission will keep one out of heaven (Matthew 25:41-45).

Thankfully, God is gracious and has provided a way for us to be forgiven of our sins. He sent His Son to take away the sins of the world (John 1:29). Forgiveness, however, is not handed out indiscriminately. God requires something from man, faith and obedience (Galatians 2:8-9; Hebrews 5:9).

There is no question about you sinning and being condemned in it. The question is, have you believed and obeyed?
