In 721 BC the Assyrian army swept out of the north, and destroyed the kingdom of Israel, and took the ten tribes captive. They became lost to history. The region was then occupied by Gentiles of different lands.
The last tribes, Judah and Benjamin, were taken captive and removed from Judah in AD 70, and no history remains of the Jewish ancestry. There are no pictures of the Jew’s color of skin, but for certain they were not Caucasians. The temple was destroyed forever in Jerusalem, and Jesus said Christians are the “New Jerusalem” — the kingdom of Christ that’s in the world today (Hebrews 12:22-29).
The Old Testament Judah served its purpose by bringing in the Messiah of the Christian age.
Romans 11:17 says, “And if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive tree, were grafted in among them, and with them became a partaker of the root and fatness of the olive tree”. Jesus tore down the wall that separated Jews and Gentiles for the gospel to become the one true religion (Ephesians 2:14-15).
Romans 2:28-29 adds, “For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh; but he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the Spirit, not in the letter; whose praise is not from men but from”.
The Holy Spirit announced to Christians: “In Him you were also circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, buried with Him in baptism, in which you also were raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead. And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross” (Colossians 2:11-14).
Paul was very clear about who is the true Israel of today: “For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but a new creation. And as many as walk according to this rule, peace and mercy be upon them, and upon the Israel of God” (Galatians 6:15-16).
To be “ruling with God” (i.e. Israel), you must be circumcised in heart, abiding only in the authority of the New Testament of Christ (Hebrews 8:13).
Romans 8:2-4 says, “For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit”. Christians are spiritual because they havc repented of their sins and been obedient to the commandments of the “new birth” (John 3:3, 5).
Those who call themselves Jews aren’t a race of people, but a religion where anyone can be called a “Jew”. These people won’t be regathered near the end of time. The church of Christ is the new spiritual Israel. Don’t be deceived!
